As a clinician, she witnessed; Parents being consistently confused by the myriad of perspectives on the behavioral, learning and developmental health landscape and frustrated by the road maps available to them. "There is so much information on the internet that one piece of information simply leads to yet another door where more information has to be waded through. While one might end up feeling more informed after scouring the internet, parents still felt angst about what next steps to confidently take for their child. Research indicates that over 50% of parents who scour the internet only take actionable steps once having spoken to a specialist/expert.

As a parent she witnessed: other parents confiding in her that they were either feeling hopeless about not knowing what immediate next steps they should take or feeling embarrassed about asking questions about their child and not wanting to take or wait for evaluations they weren't even sure they needed. For years, her friends would sigh great sighs of relief when she helped guide them gently but firmly through next steps for their children.
